The Community Corner, a guide to the not for profits and organizations in and around SoHo Broadway.

What do you want to share with your neighbors in the SoHo Broadway community?

The SoHo Broadway Initiative is passionate about improving the SoHo Broadway corridor. Whether it’s making sure the sidewalks are clean, working to reduce sidewalk congestion, or bringing temporary public art to Broadway, the Initiative is helping make the SoHo Broadway corridor better for those who use it every day.

For April there will be power washing on: 4/8 (Monday), 4/9 (Tuesday), 4/22 (Monday) and 4/23 (Tuesday). ACE power-washes each corner and all trash/recycling receptacles on the corners from 7pm until no later than 1am on the above dates.

Join the SoHo Broadway Initiative and your friends, colleagues and neighbors for an Earth Day Block Party where you can learn more about sustainable practices and programs, do some spring cleaning by dropping-off materials for reuse and recycling, play outdoor games, and sit outdoors on a city block transformed into a pedestrian-only public space.

Workshop #2 will focus on living in the neighborhood, challenges of renting/owning, future of housing & live/work.

Topic: Living in the Mix (Residential + Live/Work). Attendees are invited to learn more about the planning process and provide input on their experiences of living and working in SoHo and NoHo.

The Initiative is pleased to announce updates of our sidewalk cleaning services that have been temporarily expanded to include Crosby and Mercer Street. This temporary expansion is made possible through the generous support of Council Member Margaret Chin.
