On Monday, April 22, the SoHo Broadway Initiative celebrated Earth Day with a block party on Howard Street between Broadway and Mercer Street. April showers didn’t keep hundreds of people from coming by to drop-off electronic waste for recycling, donate books and clothing, learn about composting, grab a reusable bag, or simply enjoy a car-free pedestrian public space for the day.
