Last March, Hornet opened its doors on Broadway. We are thrilled to welcome them to the SoHo Broadway corridor and wish them success in our district. We had the opportunity to chat with Digital Communications Manager, Zoe Black, to learn more about what makes their business unique.
What does your organization do? What industry are you in?
Hornet is a multidisciplinary creative studio in the advertising space with over two decades of experience. We work in a range of creative mediums—from 2D animation to motion design to live action—to help tell compelling stories for a wide variety of brands. Our partnerships include Spotify, Google, McDonalds, Kroger, Verizon, Paid Leave For All, and the ACLU.
What brought your organization to SoHo?
After working down the street in Greenwich Village for over a decade, we decided to move into SoHo, which has always been a central creative core for the advertising industry. The energy of the neighborhood can’t be overstated—from the food, culture, architecture, and people who make the space so iconic. We’re also excited to be in a location that is accessible by many trains for our hybrid team to get to work quickly and safely.
At 594 Broadway, we’re thrilled to work in a quintessential NYC building with such heritage. We are fortunate to have worked with GFP to secure a gorgeous 10th floor space with both east- and west-facing views of the city. To house our entire NYC-based team, we were able to convert three previous spaces into one office that perfectly suits our needs. Working with them to realize our vision for our new HQ has been an exciting and fruitful process.
What sets your organization apart from the rest?
Simply, our team. Hornet is made up of incredibly talented, good-hearted people who sincerely care. The excitement is palpable, opportunities are readily available, and the work is rewarding.
