The SoHo Broadway Initiative is currently holding a series of quarterly Community Roundtables where you can learn about what is going on in the district, hear about resources for businesses and residents, and ask questions.
On July 20th, the Initiative held a Roundtable featuring staff from the New York City Department of Transportation: Edward Pincar, Manhattan Borough Commissioner, and Kate Scherer, Lower Manhattan Borough Planner. Ed gave an overview of key current agency initiatives, as well as responded to questions. Topics discussed included improving safety, managing the curb, improving accessibilty and mobility, freight innovation, Crosby Street paving repair, Broome Street/Broadway congestion and honking, and metered parking, among others. We look forward to our continued partnership over the coming months and years with the Department of Transportation to improve the safety and functionality of streets and sidewalks for those who live in, work in, and visit the SoHo Broadway community.
