Summer 2026 has hit the ground running, with the World Cup, Pride, and the Knicks’ championship win bringing visitors and locals alike out into the streets. Visitor trends for SoHo Broadway show that summer is one of our busiest times of the year and that District has continued positive visitor trends and fully recovered from the pandemic era (and then some). June 2025-May 2026 has had 18.1 million visitors, an increase over the same 12-month period the year before, which had 17.9 million visitors.

This strong visitation data is reflected in lower vacancy rates as well. Despite some neighborhoods facing 20% vacancy rates, SoHo Broadway is continuing this year’s strong occupancy rate of 87% for the District’s storefronts in the 2nd quarter of 2026. The occupancy rate for Q1 of this year was also 87%, showing that this high occupancy trend has staying power.
Along with this high storefront occupancy rate comes frequent new stores and businesses coming to the district. The newest opening this month is Abercrombie & Fitch’s latest flagship store. Read on below for more details!
