On Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, the SoHo Broadway Initiative held its 12th Annual Meeting at Westwood Gallery with an accompanying Public Informational Meeting.
Prior to beginning the Annual Meeting, Board President James Cavello provided opening remarks, welcoming attendees to Westwood Gallery. Following James’ remarks, State Assemblymember Grace Lee spoke briefly of the importance of BIDs for sanitation and advocacy. The Assemblymember also spoke about her recent conversations with City agencies and City Hall about effectively addressing counterfeit sales in the Canal Street corridor as well as about the proposed Canal Street redesign and her advocacy for improvements to the proposal.
A very brief SoHo Broadway Initiative Board of Directors meeting was held before the Annual Meeting.
Executive Director Erin Piscopink began the Annual Meeting by conducting items to be voted on. The October 22, 2025 Annual Meeting minutes and Board Election slates for all classes with open seats were approved by registered membership. The Initiative congratulates new Directors Jason Levine and Michael Prunty on their elections, and Margaret Baisley, James Cavello, Cheryl Klauss, and John Pasquale on their re-elections, as well as elected Alternates Margarite Almeida, William Fung, Lauren LoPresti and Mahmoud Youseff!
We also extend a special acknowledgment to outgoing Board members Sharon Ermilio, Billy McCollum, Ashley Natale, and Adam Weissleder and Alternates Candace Dunbar, James Ermilio, Gaston Silva, and Jason Vacker, who have stepped down from the Board of Directors after years of service. These individuals’ leadership and hours of dedicated effort has been invaluable to the ongoing success of the organization over the years.
Erin next presented the Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Report, consisting of the Finance Report and Members Report.
Following the Annual Meeting, another brief Board of Directors meeting was held, followed by a Public Informational Meeting where Erin presented the Year in Review and answered questions received from the public about the BID.

Our 12th Annual Meeting and Public Informational Meeting were a success: over 40 members and guests were in attendance. We hope to see everyone again at our 13th Annual Meeting in 2027!
