In partnership with the New York City Department of Transportation and the Horticultural Society of New York, the Initiative maintains planters along Broadway to enhance the pedestrian experience. Earlier this season, the Horticultural Society installed summer plantings, including coleus, lantana, celiosa, and sweet potato vine to beautify our district. Also be sure to check out the fresh sedum, allium, and myrtle splurge on the green roof of our Clean Curbs bin box prototype on Prince Street. Watch these plants grow over the course of the summer on Broadway!
