By SoHo Broadway Initiative
On Tuesday, May 12th, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., the NoHo BID and SoHo Broadway Initiative are hosting Coping with COVID-19: A Conversation about Commercial Leases. Come learn how commercial property owners and businesses are working through challenges related to the payment of rent, negotiating forbearance agreements, payment of pass-through expenses, enforcement of personal guarantees, and more during the COVID-19 crisis.
Panelists:
Ronen Glimer, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Artists & Fleas, a marketplace of makers — tastemakers, experience creators, designers, collectors and curators. Since its founding in 2003, Artists & Fleas has expanded to five locations in New York, Washington, and Los Angeles, including at 490 Broadway in SoHo.
Samuel J. Himmelstein, Partner at Himmelstein, McConnell, Gribben, Donoghue and Joseph LLP, one of New York’s leading tenants’ rights law firms. He specializes in commercial and residential leases and has represented tenants across the city for over 30 years.
Brian Steinwurtzel, Co-CEO and Principal at GFP Real Estate, a vertically integrated owner, operator, property manager and developer of commercial real estate based in Manhattan. The combined GFPRE portfolio of both owned and managed properties includes over 75 buildings with over 16 million square feet, serving over 2,500 tenants, one-third of which are not-for-profits. Brian also serves as President of the SoHo Broadway Initiative board of directors.
