In a break from prior holiday schedules, the Department of Sanitation announced additional service and a change in guidance for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 4, 2023.
Residents should place their material at the curb Sunday evening September 3rd between 6 p.m. and midnight in a secure container (or between 8 p.m. and midnight if bags are placed directly on the curb). This is the 2nd year of pilot “on-holiday pick-up” represents an additional service as collection normally does not take place on the holiday.
While the Department strives to offer this service in a timely manner, please note that collection delays are possible after holidays.
