What does your organization do? What industry are you in?
askneo.io helps small businesses get closer to their customers through texting. We help them simplify customer engagement and customer service with a simple phone number to text. In these uncertain times, small businesses need to regain control. This is the moment to help them save a ton of time and money, be resilient, and more importantly, allow them to generate more business immediately.
Nowadays, having a website and being on social media is not enough. People want authentic and personal experiences. We usually text friends and family because we trust them. Why can’t we text small businesses, especially in our neighborhood? Texting creates the proximity necessary to provide personal customer service at scale and build trust instantly.
What brought you/your organization to SoHo?
CEO & Founder Lio Slama: I grew up in France, and I’ve always wanted to live in New York since I was a kid. I’ve always wanted to have a large impact, and what better city to do that in than New York? SoHo and Broadway have always meant so much to me in terms of architecture, art and gastronomy. I was 15 when I first visited New York, and after becoming an architect and painter at age 23, I moved here. I later became a serial entrepreneur and when the JVP Hub opened on Broadway & Grant Street, I moved my tech company there. SoHo is diverse and so am I: I’m still painting and preparing my 3rd solo exhibition for early 2021!
What sets your organization apart from the rest?
We are committed to helping small businesses generate even more business than before these uncertain times of Covid19. This is New York, we are resilient. I am offering 30 minutes of my time to personally onboard small businesses that might be in difficulty. I show them how they can leverage something as simple as text messaging to generate more business and increase returning customers.
Is there a promotion that you would like to offer readers or members of the SoHo Broadway community?
