In the past few weeks, public life and business has been slowly returning to SoHo Broadway as NYC meets the benchmarks to allow for the phased reopening outlined by NY Forward. Since New York City entered Phase 2 on Monday, June 22nd, in-store retail has been operating again in the district, and some workers returning to offices. Additionally, food and beverage in the district has been taking advantage of the City’s Open Restaurants program, offering outdoor seating to patrons. As of this week, over 40 stores have reopened in the SoHo Broadway district; below we highlight just a few examples of notable neighborhood businesses that have resumed operations.
SoHo Broadway’s destination ice cream-themed experience is now operating a scoop shop with outdoor seating. Come by weekdays between the hours of 11 a.m.-5 p.m. to cool down with a frozen treat!
Bloomingdale’s was one of the first retailers to take advantage of Phase 1 of reopening by allowing for curbside pickup from their Crosby Street entrance. For Phase 2, the department store is now open again for business from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
One of SoHo’s newest department stores—known for its great bargains—can once-again be patronized; From 10 a.m.-7 p.m. daily, be sure to stop by and check out their selection!
With NYC opening up, it’s time to emerge from quarantine and look our best—from a social distance and always in a mask of course! From 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Sephora has you covered for under your face covering.
SoHo residents, workers, and visitors who need their caffeine fix once again have an option right on Broadway for their lattes, specialty drinks, and selection of cafe pastries. If you’re in the district from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. and need a jolt, Think Coffee is a no-brainer, whether you take your joe to-go or take advantage of the outdoor seating.
One of our district’s top culinary options, Lure had been a standard for takeout during the height of the PAUSE but is now open for al fresco dining on Mercer St. as part of the city’s Open Restaurants Program. From 3 p.m.- 8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, and 3 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, enjoy their fresh fish dishes and creative cocktails.
