NYCxDESIGN is pleased to extend an invitation to SoHo Broadway’s small businesses, restaurants, and cultural institutions to partner in its upcoming city-wide campaign, An Ode to NYC. This Fall, NYCxDESIGN will help drive traffic to partner locations as part of a campaign to re-energize New York City during a time when creativity is needed most.
Over the past few weeks, NYCxDESIGN has invited a diverse group of New York City-based designers to create an original piece of artwork that represents their love for New York City. Beginning in October, this bold collection of custom designed posters will blanket the five boroughs in showrooms, storefronts, restaurants, and cultural buildings.
NYCxDESIGN invites SoHo Broadway’s businesses to participate in our Open Call and submit applications for the opportunity to be part of the campaign. Please note that the application deadline is September 4.
Partners will receive An Ode to NYC poster delivered to their business for display in their window/entrance and a social media toolkit to promote the campaign on their channels. Partners will also be listed on the Ode to NYC webpage on nycxdesign.com, and be included in the Ode to NYC printed map, which will be published in the NYCxDESIGN Fall Spotlight (an insert in the October 2020 issue of Metropolis Magazine).
In addition, several copies of the posters will be sold online as part of a fundraiser where proceeds will be donated to Black Artists & Designers Guild.
NYCxDESIGN is a festival of international design professionals and enthusiasts, gathering to experience design and influence the future through exhibitions, installations, trade shows, panels, product launches, open studios, and more.
NYCxDESIGN is operated by SANDOW, under agreement with New York City Economic Development Corporation. Members of the New York City design community serve as part of the NYCxDESIGN Advisory Group, Steering Committee, and Strategy Task Force.
