Last month we were excited to report that Balthazar has reopened in the district, bringing their much missed vibrancy and culinary experience to the corner of Spring and Crosby. Fortunately, Balthazar is not the only long-standing business that is reopening in our district amidst this hopeful moment of rapid vaccine distribution and warmer weather. Housing Works, the New York City-based non-profit that has long been active in fighting AIDS and homelessness in the city, has reopened their bookstore café and thrift shop! The set of stores, tucked away on Crosby Street between Houston Street and Prince Street, are an eclectic pairing with troves of books, furniture, clothing, and art.
