The NYC Hospitality Alliance is working with the NYC Department of Small Business Services to investigate the impact that scaffolding and sidewalk sheds have on restaurants and other businesses. (A sidewalk shed is a structure constructed to protect pedestrians from falling objects due to construction.)
If scaffolding and sidewalk sheds have ever been installed in front of or adjacent to your storefront, we encourage you to participate in our 5-minute survey by Wednesday, August 3. Please keep in mind that some questions allow you to select multiple answers. The results will help us better understand the impact that scaffolding and sidewalk sheds have on our city’s businesses, and inform potential solutions.
