The Initiative is pleased to announce a new collaboration with The SoHo Memory Project and its founder, Yukie Ohta. A Look Back at SoHo’s Broadway will explore Broadway’s colorful and eclectic history with a monthly post on the Initiative’s website. The Initiative is excited to give member’s of the SoHo Broadway community a platform to learn more about Broadway’s rich history.
The SoHo Memory Project is a mobile museum, archive, and blog celebrating and preserving the history of SoHo as a New York City neighborhood. Its mission is to document the evolution of the area that is now called “SoHo” from colonial days through the present, with a focus on the decades between 1960 -1980, when it was a vibrant artists community.
