On Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, the SoHo Broadway Initiative held its 11th Annual Meeting at Westwood Gallery. This marked our first in-person Annual Meeting after five years of virtual gatherings.
Executive Director Erin Piscopink, began the meeting with a welcome and opening remarks, offering a review of the past year and the work of staff and our partners in the areas of sanitation, beautifucation, community development, and quality-of-life issues. State Senator Brian Kavanagh shared remarks and an update from his office. Field Operations and Engagement Manager Megan Diebboll and Deputy Director Brandon Zwagerman shared information about the planned Street Vending Roundtable and a call for holiday donations to the SoHo Broadway Clean Team, respectively.
Erin Piscopink conducted items to be voted on. The November 20, 2024 Annual Meeting minutes and Board Election slates for all classes were approved by registered membership. The Initiative congratulates new Directors Lee Leshen, Kevin Mercurio, Patrick Eidinger, and Danielle de Marne on their elections, and Melissa Siegel, Neith Stone, Adam Weissleder, Michelle Choi, Ronnie Wolf, Susan Shoemaker, Billy McCollum, and Pete Davies on their re-elections, as well as elected alternates!
We extend a special acknowledgment to our outgoing Board members Anders Holst, Greg Kraut, and Jed Root, who have stepped down from the Board of Directors after years of service. We also thank Warren Leshen, who, while stepping back from his Director role, will remain on as a Board Alternate. These individuals’ leadership and hours of dedicated effort has been invaluable to the ongoing success of the organization over the years.
Board President James Cavello and Margarite Almeida welcomed attendees to Westwood Gallery and introduced its 30th anniversary exhibition, on display.
