While many of us were lucky enough to stay inside during the January 25 snowstorm, the SoHo Broadway Clean Team was hitting the streets to clear snow and keep our district safe. With roughly a foot of snow falling locally, keeping our streets clear of snow, ice, and slush has been a big job.
With every storm and its aftermath, the SoHo Broadway Clean Team removes snow and ice from crosswalks, catch basins, bus stops, subway entrances and the areas surrounding fire hydrants. We would like to send a special thanks to the Clean Team for their continued work in maintaining the walkability of our district, making sure it truly feels like a winter wonderland after each snow!
Check out some photos of recent cleanup action below! And remember, property owners are legally responsible for clearing your sidewalks. Please review property managers & businesses’ responsibilities in case of winter precipitation here.
