Clothing brand Madewell has opened its flagship location at 565 Broadway, relocating from its prior SoHo location down the street at 486 Broadway (opened in 2006). The flagship store showcases a new focus on customer service and styling and a new interior design concept, with vintage furniture and the building’s original cast iron Corinthian columns. Compared to its last 5,500-square-foot location, this 6,500-square-foot flagship has more breathing room to showcase its men’s and women’s apparel and expanded denim bar. Madewell celebrated its opening in December with a party inspired by its “Made for New York” campaign.

On December 11th, discount luxury outerwear seller Mielle Outerwear opened a pop-up at 433 Broadway. SoHo shoppers have until January 15th to visit this pop-up location and find coats from brands like Prada, Moncler, Canada Goose, and more for 30-70% off!

“New Name, Same Za.” Elevate SoHo, SoHo’s licensed cannabis dispensary at 481 Broadway, has rebranded as a location of NYC dispensary The Flowery. It celebrated its Grand Opening in SoHo on Black Friday and has been updated with psychedelic, flower-power-inspired decor. The Flowery also has locations in Staten Island, Queens, and Brooklyn and will soon open stores in the Lower East and Upper West Side. Stop in to explore their offerings!

Luxury home furnishings brand Lemieux et Cie has opened its flagship retail store at 14 Crosby St, snuggled between neighboring design-forward furniture stores Raisonné and Henrybuilt. Designer and entrepreneur Christiane Lemieux launched Lemieux et Cie in the U.S. in 2020, where it became available online and in select stores. The brand describes itself as “rooted in a studied appreciation of iconic European ateliers of the likes of Jean Arp, Constantin Brancusi and Alberto Giacometti,” combining European design with modern sensibility. In addition to showcasing their collection— made in partnership with artisans around the world— and offering custom design consultations in a space intended to engage all of the senses, the flagship location will also feature rotating art exhibitions, live workshops, and expert speaker appearances.
