The NYC Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) is proposing a comprehensive redesign of Canal Street in Manhattan. The redesign would make the corridor safer for all road users by enhancing pedestrian safety, expanding the bicycle network, creating open space, and calming traffic.

After hosting a series of engagement sessions in September and October, NYC DOT is presenting its proposed redesign of Canal Street on Monday, November 24th at 6:00 p.m at a joint meeting of Community Boards 1, 2 and 3. Doors open at 5:45 pm. The joint meeting will take place at MS 131, 100 Hester Street (between Forsythe and Eldridge).
