From the first day he started in March of 2018 he was considered a permanent clean team member. Gerald said, “I heard about the SoHo Broadway team and thought it would be a good place to work.”
Gerald Dubose was born in the Bronx but now resides in Manhattan. He lives in a quiet neighborhood and shares an apartment with a great roommate. When he’s not at home watching sports, he likes to search local playgrounds and parks for pick-up basketball games.
5 Questions with Gerald Dubose:
SBI: When did you start working/volunteering with the SoHo Broadway Initiative?
GD: I was offered a job with the SBI by my boss at ACE and started working in March of 2018.
SBI: Outside of work, what are your interests and activities?
GD: I like watching the Patriots, Knicks, Yankees and Islanders on the television. Also, I like playing basketball when I have time.
SBI: What is the best part of the next thing you’re doing?
GD: Winning the lottery! But also, I would like to save enough and move to Florida.
SBI: What is your favorite hang-out spot in NYC?
GD: I like the east and west village. I used to go to a place called Uno’s on 6th Avenue but they closed, Now I just like to walk around and see the sites.
SBI: What is your preferred mode of transportation in NYC?
GD: I take the train.
