Meet Bryan Kirk of the SoHo Broadway Initiative

SoHo Broadway Initiative: A new Field Operations & Engagement Manager joins our team

Bryan Kirk joined the SoHo Broadway Initiative in February of 2026 as Field Operations & Engagement Manager. He brings recent experience from local non-profit The HOPE Program, the CUNY Office of Research, and the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Previously, Bryan worked in partnership development and relationship management for Seven Bridges Genomics and The Jackson Labs. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and is graduating with a Master of Urban Planning from Hunter College in Spring 2026. Bryan brings a unique mix of partnership management, urban planning, and research experience to support the Initiative’s work — where all parts of the urban fabric come together.

A Baltimore native, Bryan lives in Lincoln Square with his fiancée and pet cat, Ritz. When he isn’t in the district you can probably find him out rock climbing, biking somewhere with lots of trees, or curled up at home with a good book.

We sat down with Bryan to get to know a little bit more about him!

5 Questions with Bryan:

SBI: When did you start working with the SoHo Broadway Initiative?

BK: I started as the Field Operations and Engagement Manager in February 2026.

SBI: What’s the best part of working here?

BK: Going into the field to walk the district, seeing the beautiful architecture, and feeling the energy of the SoHo neighborhood.

SBI: Outside of work, what are your interests and activities?

BK: I’m a bit of an adventure seeker – I love rock climbing and going on bike trips out of the city. I’m also an avid reader and run a book club with some of my friends.

SBI: Where is your favorite hang-out in the SoHo/Downtown area?

BK: There are so many great places in the area. I love to hang out in Washington Square Park on a nice day with friends, Bibliotheque really appeals to my inner bookworm, and I’ve ended more than a couple nights with a plate from Sammy’s Halal Food.

SBI: What is your preferred mode of transportation in NYC?

BK: If I must pick just one, it would be subways, but the beauty of NYC is having the biggest subway system, walkable neighborhoods, and some great bicycle infrastructure! If there were more good places to store my bike, I’d switch my answer.
