Loss Prevention Seminar

On Tuesday November 17^th, NYPD’s 5^th and 1^st Precinct held a Loss Prevention Seminar for SoHo Broadway retailers in advance of the upcoming holiday shopping season.

Police Officer Rodney Rosado (NYPD-5^th Precinct) made a presentation on recent crime trends in the 5^th Precinct, shared best practices for loss prevention staff who interact customers and reviewed crime prevention strategies for retailers.  Officer Rosado was joined by his counterpart at the 1^st Precinct, Police Officer George Liropoulos,  who shared information on trends within the 1^st Precinct and plans for an increased presence along Broadway during the holiday season.  In addition to learning effective loss prevention strategies, retailers had a chance to network with peer SoHo Broadway retail professionals.

The Initiative gives a special thanks to the NYPD’s 1^st and 5^th Precincts for organizing the  workshop and looks forward to hosting similar events for the SoHo Broadway retail community in 2017.
