The events of the past few months related to targeted violence against Asian and Asian American communities are deeply disturbing. From the murders of the six women of Asian descent in Atlanta to daily occurrences of racially charged violence against New Yorkers on our streets; we must all do our part in giving support and love.
We stand in solidarity with the Asian community during this time of hardship and seek to amplify the voices of the courageous individuals that are leading the movement to bring equality and justice. SoHo Broadway is a place where people from around the city, and around the world, come together. The Initiative supports the Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) members of our community who live in, work in, and visit SoHo Broadway.
Lower Manhattan is undeniably home to one of this country’s most diverse populations, with Chinatown and the Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community being an integral part of it. We encourage our readers (and ourselves!) to support Asian-owned businesses, especially in light of the economic damage caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
