What brought you to SoHo Broadway?  What do you do here?

I was born and raised in Seoul, where the creative and ever‑evolving energy of the city shaped my eye for detail and beauty. I began my career in the beauty industry in 1999 and refined my skills at Bergdorf Goodman, EIJI Salon, and backstage at New York Fashion Week, providing bespoke beauty services for luxury clientele. These experiences inspired a vision to create a space where busy New Yorkers could experience the latest beauty trends efficiently and privately, all in one place. SoHo Broadway, with its blend of artistic sensibility and trend‑driven culture, was the perfect location to bring this vision to life.

I started with a small studio at 580 Broadway in 2012, and over the past 15 years, I have grown eyeLure Boutique into a premium one‑stop beauty studio in the heart of SoHo. Many of our services can be performed simultaneously, making our studio especially ideal for busy New Yorkers who have limited time.

What does your ocompany do, what industry are you in?

We are absolutely thrilled to reintroduce eyeLure Boutique to the SoHo Broadway community. eyeLure Boutique is a premium full‑service beauty studio offering eyelash extensions, brow design, facials, nails, waxing, aromatherapy, and semi‑permanent makeup. Our philosophy is grounded in precision, personalized care, and creating a quiet, restorative experience for every client.

In 2025, we expanded to a larger and more private space at 584 Broadway, Suite 612, where we provide reservation‑only, one‑on‑one consultations. In the heart of SoHo, we blend the neighborhood’s creative sensibility with Korean‑inspired detail to help clients discover their most beautiful selves.

What do you like about SoHo Broadway?

It’s all about the unique rhythm of this neighborhood. I love how the high ceilings and grand windows of SoHo lofts create a calm oasis against the city’s hustle. There’s something truly magical about watching its daily evolution, starting as a peaceful, creative haven in the morning, and transforming into a bustling global runway filled with energy and shopping bags by afternoon.

What is your favorite SoHo Broadway memory or experience?

There are small, magical moments that happen here in SoHo. On morning walks, I’ve unexpectedly crossed paths with icons like Anna Wintour, and once even saw Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad at a Pilates class. At eyeLure Boutique, we’ve also had the pleasure of welcoming clients such as Brooke Shields, Jessica Chastain, Julia Fox, and Jenna Lyons—with Jessica Chastain being a loyal client for nearly 15 years. Sharing this community and our studio with such global figures continues to feel special every single time. And truly, one of my most unforgettable memories was seeing our boutique featured on the SoHo Broadway banners. That exact moment gave me a profound sense of pride and made me feel deeply, beautifully connected to this neighborhood.

If you had 20 minutes, where would you go locally?

You can experience so much here in just 20 minutes. My favorite micro-break involves picking up a matcha and taking a stroll down the peaceful cobblestone blocks of Greene, Mercer, and Wooster to take in the architecture. I also love exploring the neighborhood’s ever-changing pop-ups or browsing creative, trendy designs at the MoMA Design Store. On a sunny day, putting on sunglasses and unwinding at Elizabeth Street Garden is pure bliss. As for today? I’m planning to visit the Capital One Café to catch up on some banking and enjoy an affordably perfect cortado.

What should we know about you outside of working or living here?  What do you do for fun or are you looking forward to doing?

Outside of work, I focus on recharging my creative inspiration and restoring balance to my mind and body. I love exploring museums and galleries for fresh visual stimulation, and I frequently visit various pop-up stores and seasonal beauty expos to test new products and research the latest industry trends. I also have a deep appreciation for architectural history—specifically the opulence of America’s Gilded Age—and thoroughly enjoy touring historic mansions. On weekends, I love taking light road trips to peaceful getaways like the Hudson Valley, where I can completely unwind and find serenity surrounded by nature and history.

Most of all, I look forward to a future where I can channel the excitement I feel every single morning walking down these streets, and give it back as positive energy to every client who visits our Boutique and to all of our neighbors.
