Over the last few years, the Initiative has collaborated with the Horticultural Society of New York and the New York City Department of Transportation to maintain colorful planters along Broadway to enhance the pedestrian experience.
Last month, The Hort planted a bold new palette of orange and red mums (which will be refreshed later this week), celosia, pansies, and purple peacock kale. Also keep an eye out for the purple berries of our perennial beautyberry shrubs. Check out these beautiful, autumnal plantings the next time you are walking along Broadway!
