View paintings by local artist Peggy Resnick, on exhibit at the Mulberry Street Library from March 29 through June 3.
“My Family: Poland and America” explores Resnick’s family history of immigration. In Resnick’s words:
“My family came to the United States in 1921. They came from a small town in Poland, Kamen Kashirsk. My mother, her four siblings, her mother and father, and her grandmother all left their home and also left many family members behind. It was so hard to leave these dear ones because they thought they might never see them again. These are paintings of some of my family who came to the United States and some of my family who stayed behind.”
