Featured this month: Jennifer Martelli and Julie Forgione
Julie Forgione is working on two collections: one of short stories and another of poetry. A professional writing consultant at the Fashion Institute of Technology and an ESL teacher, she has a background in painting and fine art. She makes an annual sojourn to Italy each year to keep her Italian flowing and is a familiar voice and fact at IAWA readings.
Jennifer Martelli, the author of The Uncanny Valley (Big Table Publishing Company, 2016) and My Tarantella (Bordighera Press, 2018), as well as the chapbook, After Bird from Grey Book Press. She is the recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant in Poetry and poetry editor for The Mom Egg Review. With Julia Lisella, she co-hosts the IAWA reading series in Boston at I AM Bookstore.
