Join The Drawing Center’s Visitor Services Associate and practicing artist Mark Zubrovich for a drawing workshop centered on our 2010 exhibition Dorothea Tanning: Early Designs for the Stage – SoHo Events

Zubrovich will discuss Tanning’s life as an artist by focusing on her lesser known designs for the stage and costumes, with specific attention to photographs and paintings from her work on the Night Shadow and The Witch ballets. Taking inspiration from these images, Zubrovich will also lead a costume drawing activity.

All ages are invited to participate!

Workshops will take place via Zoom. Participants will be sent a login link on the day before the workshop. Simply click the link to join.

Tips for a Successful Zoom Session:

• Log in 5-10 minutes before the workshop begins to avoid any technical delays.
• Use a desktop or laptop for the best image quality. A tablet will also do, but on a smartphone, the image may be too small.
• Make sure you have a stable wifi connection before the workshop beings
