Concerts From Cars (CFC) is a band that plays pop-up concerts in NYC—everything from original compositions, jazz, and improvisation to New York New York! The band consists of 6 musicians in 6 cars who park on the street, and each musician plays from/near their own car. In this way, Concerts From Cars provides safe, live concerts to New York City residents. The Concerts From Cars musicians stay 6 feet, and we encourage our audience to follow social distance guidelines.
Concerts From Cars was founded and is produced by Olga Morkova. Musicians of CFC are Dan Kurfirst (musical director, drums, percussion), Pam Fleming (trumpet), Claire de Brunner (bassoon), Nick Lyons (alto saxophone) and Dave Sewelson (baritone saxophone). The concert in SoHo will feature a special guest, a Soho resident, Tomchess on oud.
