Enroll your building to receive an ecycleNYC collection bin – SoHo community

#ecycleNYC is a free and convenient electronic waste collection for residential buildings of 10 or more units. DSNY provides this service in conjunction with ERI, which recycles electronics following the strictest industry and environmental standards. Be sure to erase your sensitive data.

• What ecycleNYC Accepts
• TVs
• VCRs, DVRs, and DVD players
• Cable and satellite boxes
• Video game consoles
• Computers: including small servers; monitors; laptops and their peripherals (such as keyboards, hard drives, mice, etc.)
• Printers/scanners
• Fax machines
• Small electronics: including tablets; mobile phones; MP3 players

NOTE: Appliances, batteries, and light bulbs are NOT accepted.

How It Works

First, apply to enroll. DSNY will invite you to a training or visit your building to discuss how ecycleNYC will work best.

There are three service options:

• 10 or More Units: Building managers store residents’ electronics in a secure, enclosed area before collection.
• 100 or More Units: Storage bins are provided. Small bins are 2’ deep x 4’ wide x 5’ high; large ones are 2’ deep x 5.5’ wide x 6’ high.
• 250 or More Units: DSNY will work with building management to schedule outdoor recycling events.
