DSNY Christmas Tree Curbside Pick-Up – SoHo Broadway Resources

Starting December 26, 2018, the SoHo Broadway Clean Team will move any Christmas tree placed out on the curb to common collection points at the bus bulbs on Spring Street or Grand Street to support DSNY’s Christmas Tree Program.

DSNY will collect and compost clean Christmas trees on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, & Saturday, January 12, 2019.

Trees are chipped, mixed with leaves and recycled into rich compost for NYC’s parks, institutions, and community gardens. Remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, stands, and plastic bags from your tree.

 

Fake Trees

Donate or sell used fake trees in good condition at donateNYC.

Set out fake trees that are mostly metal or rigid plastic, next to your recycling container on regular recycling day(s). Remove all lights, ornaments and tinsel before placing at the curb.
