The NYC Test & Trace Corps is a public health initiative to fight the threat of COVID-19.

The Corps is a group of doctors, public health professionals and community advocates working to reverse the COVID-19 outbreak and protect our city.

Through its robust and citywide partnerships, The Corps helps New Yorkers receive free, safe and confidential testing for COVID-19 and for the antibody test. It ensures that anyone with the virus receives care, and can safely isolate to prevent the spread. To help New Yorkers navigate this process, The Corps has activated a specialized group of Contact Tracers to provide resources and support every step of the way.

Test – Get a COVID-19 Test and an Antibody test to know if you have been exposed to the virus. – The tests are FREE, confidential and safe. More than 200 testing sites now open. For the week of November 30 – December 4, a local self-testing site is in operation at Judson Health Center (34 Spring Street) 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Trace – Answer the call of the Contact Tracers – they provide support to New Yorkers who test positive for COVID-19 and their close contacts. Learn more.

Take Care – Protect Yourself and Your Loved Ones – Safely isolate in a free, comfortable and convenient hotel room or at home. Learn more about the program. The NYC Test & Trace Corps will make sure that anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 and their close contacts will have the resources needed to safely separate in a hotel, free of charge, or at home to help prevent the spread of the virus. NYC Health + Hospitals The public health program is led by NYC Health + Hospitals in close collaboration with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and other city agencies. The program is dedicated to providing quality health care to all New Yorkers, regardless of income, gender identity, immigration status or ability to pay.

The NYC Test & Trace Corps is committed to protecting the privacy and security of New Yorkers’ personal and health information to the maximum extent permitted by federal, state and city law. The information that the Corps receives through contact tracing is confidential and protected under the New York City Health Code. The Corps will not ask about anyone’s immigration status. Any information the Corps obtains will be stored securely and used by authorized Corps staff for the limited purpose of protecting public health. The NYC Test & Trace Corps database will not be linked to any law enforcement databases.
