We are thrilled to announce that on July 1st Streetplus took over as the Initiative’s contracted partner to provide supplemental sanitation services to the SoHo Broadway community. The company brings over 30 years of experience in providing sanitation services to improvement districts, including a strong track record for nearby downtown organizations such as the NoHo Business Improvement District, the Village Alliance, and Union Square Partnership. Streetplus began initial work in the district in June removing graffiti from trash receptacles. In addition to our core service area along Broadway and the intersecting cross streets, the Initiative will continue to provide sanitation services on Crosby and Mercer streets via the new Streetplus Clean Team.
From January through May 2023, the Initiative’s outstanding Clean Team removed a total of 25,996 garbage bags and 3,171 incidents of graffiti from the neighborhood. We thank our Clean Team members for their continued dedication to making SoHo Broadway a welcoming place to live, work, shop and explore.
