Jenna Blakeman joined the SoHo Broadway Initiative in October 2022. She is earning her master’s degree in Urban and Community Planning at Pratt Institute’s Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment. Prior to coming to the Initiative, she served as a campaign manager for Arkansas State House Representative, Nicole Clowney. Her additional experience includes work for non-profit community development organizations, such as Canopy NWA– a refugee resettlement organization in her hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Jenna holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and African American Studies from the University of Arkansas. She aims to engage with SoHo Broadway’s community partners and key stakeholders to develop plans that meet the needs of a diverse, mixed-use neighborhood. In her free time, she enjoys visiting New York City’s art museums, sourcing the best vintage clothing and jewelry, and re-watching episodes of Mad Men.
