On October 7, the Mayor announced the start of a process for a proposed zoning initiative for SoHo and NoHo. The SoHo/NoHo Neighborhood Plan website contains additional information.
The Department of City Planning held a public informational seminar on October 26, which gave an overview of the process and its goals. If you were unable to attend, a recording of the meeting as well as the meeting slides have been posted online for your review and reference.
On December 3 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Department of City Planning will hold a public scoping meeting via Zoom to hear comments from the public on the environmental scoping materials and to allow the public to inform the environmental review process. Instructions on how to participate in the remote meeting can be found here and relevant documents are available for download below. Written comments can also be submitted via email until December 18.

On December 8 at 6:30 p.m., Manhattan Community Board 2’s Land Use Committee will be holding a public hearing to better inform its response to the Department of City Planning’s Draft Scope of Work. Written comments can be made via email or members of the public are free to participate in the live meeting by signing up via Zoom.
