While it may not be apparent to a passerby, the current mismatch of zoning regulations to the current use significantly complicates matters for those who live, work, own, rent or develop property in SoHo.
The SoHo Zoning Guidebook was created to elevate the common understanding of SoHo’s zoning for residents, property owners and businesses who want to meaningfully participate in conversations about the current status and future of the SoHo neighborhood. The guidebook provides examples of the SoHo neighborhood’s history and draws particular focus to the conditions along the SoHo Broadway corridor today.
The SoHo Zoning Guidebook section of our website breaks down the SoHo Zoning Guidebook content into smaller parts and gives users the opportunity to really explore the different chapters of the guidebook. In addition to hosting the Guidebook itself, this section of the website provides snapshots into each chapter, answers to frequently asked questions as well as links to additional resources and reference material.
Both the SoHo Zoning Guidebook and supporting section of our website are educational resources produced in collaboration with a dedicated committee of neighborhood stakeholders, urban planning consulting firm Karp Strategies and the SoHo Broadway Initiative staff.
