Meet Clean Team Member William Bryant.
On September 23, William joined the Initiative’s Executive Director, Mark Dicus for lunch to answer his 5 questions. William was born in Savannah, Georgia and came to New York City when he was 16. William is one of twelve siblings, growing up with six brothers and five sisters. Today, William lives in Harlem just a few doors down from his 80 year old father and nearby to several other family members. William’s nickname is “Little bit o’ luck.”

SBI: When did you start working/volunteering with the SoHo Broadway Initiative?
WB: November 2014
SBI: Outside of work, what are interests and activities?
WB: When I’m not at work, I like to play pool, cards and watch tv. In High School, I played ping pong and knew my way around a basketball court.
SBI: What the best part of the next thing you’re doing?
WB: Every day I wake up looking forward to the day ahead. I might be working on Broadway or visiting family. My motto is “Always give respect to get respect.” I treat the people of Broadway with respect and they respect the work I do each day.
SBI: What is your favorite hang-out spot in the SoHo/Downtown area?
WB: As crazy as it sounds, I look forward to seeing the corner of Broadway and Houston each morning.
SBI: What is your preferred mode of transportation in NYC?
WB: Subway or bus is the way to go.
