More than 30 years ago, Armani Exchange launched its first store in New York City in the 1991 at 568 Broadway in SoHo. This month, the contemporary, Italian brand opened a new flagship store at 536 Broadway, a 1902 building by architects De Lemos & Cordes.
Giorgio Armani’s fashion brand is known for its simple, refined and elegant street style. The brand’s return to SoHo with a new flagship store points to the brand’s continued success as a fashion-industry leader. Furthermore, the store at 536 Broadway marks a transition into the future with special emphasis on sustainability, technology and culture. The new flagship store remains true to the character of SoHo with the preservation of original architectural features of the building such as oak flooring, exposed brick walls, cast-iron columns, and more.
