With safety in mind, this year’s in-person ride will take place on a single day, September 12. In-person Riders must arrive in Fishkill, NY by 7:00 am to check in. You are responsible for your transportation to Fishkill, but we’ll make it easy with our Pre-Ride Guide—full of options—sent about two months before the event.

Perhaps in the current environment, taking part in an in-person ride is not for you this year. We understand, but we don’t want you to miss out! That’s why this year we’re including the Virtual Ride option. It’s the full BRAKING AIDS® Ride… online.

Being a part of it is easy. Simply register as a Virtual Rider. There’s no registration fee to sign up. For Virtual Riders, there is a physical component. You get to choose what’s right for you, but we suggest that you choose a physical challenge that will inspire both you and your donors! Can you ride 82 miles where you live? Perhaps you’ll do 82 minutes of yoga? Whatever you do, make it part of your fundraising appeal so your friends and family know how committed you are to Housing Works’ mission. Sign up for our Strava club and be sure to record your training sessions and Ride weekend ride there.

Then get ready for the Ride! Join us throughout the year for pre-ride activities, presented live on Zoom. Qualify for special perqs just for our virtual and in-person riders, like wine tastings, training clinics, and much more!

On September 12, join us on Zoom for the Virtual Ride! We’ll livestream the Opening Ceremony in the morning. All day long, we’ll be broadcasting live from oases and along the route, so you can take part in the fun! Feel free to go live with your own virtual challenge, whether that’s riding, yoga, baking… you do you, and share it with us! We’ll also have special virtual-only content. On Sunday afternoon, you can watch the closing ceremony. Pageantry and pomp, laughter and tears. And your first chance to sign up for the three-day ride in 2022!
