We are starting up…Supplemental Sanitation Services and Deep Cleaning!

The SoHo Broadway BID is excited to announce that daily Supplemental Sanitation Services started on November 17^th along Broadway from East Houston to Canal Streets.  Services will be provided from 7am to 10pm, 7 days per week.

The following services will be provided:

• Sidewalk sweeping and bagging of litter
• Graffiti removal and street furniture painting Emptying trash/recycling receptacles,
• Power washing of intersection corners and trash/recycling receptacles (as needed)
• Snow removal from cross walks and catch basins
• SoHo Broadway BID has contracted with the maintenance and cleaning division of ACE to provide these services within the BID.

 

DEEP CLEANING:

The launch of the BID’s Supplemental Sanitation Services also includes an initial deep washing of street corners, sidewalk grates and trash receptacles will occur.  We anticipate the deep cleaning to be completed on or before December 8^th.  During this deep cleaning, there will be additional workers providing services along Broadway to complete this important work before winter temperatures set in.  Most of the deep cleaning work will be performed during the 7am to 10pm scheduled service hours.  Due to the pedestrian traffic on Broadway, power washing will occur on a handful of evenings during the deep cleaning phase from 9 pm until approximately 1 am,  as weather permits.

 

The BID is excited to launch this service program that will keep SoHo’s Broadway clean and graffiti free!
